Conor's eye surgery went pretty well today. He was great going in - didn't cry when we left him. Afterwards he was pretty upset - screaming actually. He still hasn't opened his eyes all the way - he had wet washcloth on them right before nap time and then finally put on the sunglasses they gave him. Then he fell asleep with the glasses on and he's still sleeping. Hopefully his eyes will be feeling better soon.
Toby is doing well also. We are interviewing a day nurse and a night nurse this Friday night and Saturday afternoon, so please pray that we have wisdom if these are the nurses that will be right for us and Toby. I'm nervous about this whole process, but know that it will be okay. Carl & Erika have been a huge help in this area.

ReplyDeleteHey guys! I am so happy to hear Toby is stable. Remember Crissi Stahl? That family had nursing care, and they made some lifelong friends with those girls...I know you will be ok too :0) I love you! Mareta

ReplyDeleteI'm so glad to hear that Conor's eye surgery went well, and I know that you guys are trusting in the Lord, but I'm sure there are moments when you think how much more can we handle? As I was reading your journal entry Isaiah 43 came to my mind. I hope it encourages you today.
"Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze. For I am the LORD, your God, the Holy one of Israel, your Savior....Since you are precious and honored in my sight; and because I love you; I will give men in exchange for you. and people in exchange for your life. Do not be afraid, for I am with you....No one can deliver out of my hand. When I act, who can reverse it?"
